Information for speakers
We'd like to invite you to give a talk at our spring conference — conference for web developers Russian Internet Technologies++. Our conference will be conducted the four time this year, about 600 people will take part in it. It will be one of the largest event for web developers in Russia. The subject and overall area of the talks are serverside and clientside development, system administration, databases, advanced technologies, project management, quality and so on.
Traditionally we invite most interesting speakers from the major regional and international companies to our events. A lot of well known specialists like Martin Sustrik (0MQ project founder), Leif Hedstrom (Akamai Technologies), Pavel Durov (VKontakte), Vladimir Perepelitsa (Rambler), Igor Sysoev (nginx), Alex Mogilevsky(Microsoft), Vladimir Gabrielyan (Mail.Ru), Theo Schlossnagle (OmniTI), John Allspaw (Etsy), Petr Zaycev (Percona), Vadim Makeev (Opera Software), Alexey Rybak (Badoo) had a speech at Russian Internet Technologies last year.
Important dates
The best improvisation is a well-prepared improvisation. That is why we ask our speakers to take their talks seriously and get prepared!
- Febrary 25 — deadline to submit your abstract.
- March 1 — acceptance notification.
- March 10 — time to submit presentation.
- April 2, 3 — RIT++ conference.
Tips for speakers
We underline several common recommendations:
- Disclose your theme deeply, we are talking about professional conference;
- It's strongly recommended your presentation to be unique, not presented or published anywhere earlier;
- Review presentations are allowed only with the concurrence of the Program Committee;
- If a technology, algorithm, or product is already present in market, you should consider your listeners to know it. This way you will avoid mistakes and near-empty lecture rooms. It is said especially for major vendors;
- Mentioning your company’s products is undesirable without the concurrence of the Program Committee;
- It’s not allowed to appreciate in negative way activity of other companies or products.
All these rules are aimed at improvement of quality of talks and presentations.
How to submit your papers and presentation?
We process all requests from foreign speakers by e-mail conf@ontico.ru.
All requests should include the following information:
- Title and abstract of your talk (from 3 up to 5 paragraphs);
- Name, contacts (e-mail address, phone number, IM's) and short information (one paragraph and small photo is enough) for each author;
- Target audience of your talk (Who will be interested in your speech? Why will it be useful?).
You can send your presentation later in accordance to important dates listed above.
Speakers' participation
Speakers' participation is free of charge. We pay for foreign speakers accommodation, airfare and visa. Notify organization committee by e-mail if you would like to get invitation letter, tickets or book a hotel in Moscow.
